When the rose is red, we will spend the shadow of the petal, When the steps of a hungry doe shriek in fear, Not sand - snow - will fall through the narrow gap of time, Counting down the days to the turn of the year...
Aistė Smilgevičiūtė and the group "Skylė" will scatter the snow on the last days of the year and create a musical blizzard.
December 27 – in Vilnius, on the 28th – in Kaunas and on the 31st – Klaipėda: winter concerts "Clock Snow".
"At the end of the year, time seems to take on a wider meaning. He asks to be counted, he demands to turn around, to review. We will try to do this at the winter concerts. We put together the program like a musical ecliptic - the journey of the Sun through the seasons, the constellations of the Zodiac," says Aistė Smilgevičiūtė.
She laughs when she remembers that the only song on "The Hole" called "Winter" is actually about spring. "However, we have a number of works that are full of winter mood: coziness by the fireplace with a blizzard raging outside the window, fragility and transparency like the first ice covering a pond, and fun like a sled flight down a steep half-snowed mountain," she says.
Winter songs have already been arranged in the one and a half hour program. The group plans to play it at the "Clock Snow" concerts.
Some songs are memorized by listeners, some songs will be heard less often. Aistė matures the idea of presenting one completely new song. Although the singer perfected it for several months and did not know exactly when it would be finished, it was created for winter.
At the concerts "Laikrodžių sniegas" the group "Skylė" will perform in full. A special visual scenography is created for the performances.
