This winter is really testing everyone's patience. It's like it's here, but it's not... And when it's not, so white, sunny and snowy, the wait for spring is even stronger. Looking at the sky of a hundred shades of grey, you want to see bright colours, buds bursting and birds going crazy.
The tradition of greeting the bright season with a concert on the Spring Equinox by Aistė Smilgevičiūtė and the band Skylė has been alive for more than 15 years. This year, the equinox will be marked with songs on 21 March at the capital's St.
Spring is always the beginning of the life cycle. And group "Skylė" welcomes this spring with a renewed spirit. On the stage of the Spring Equinox Concert we will see Aiste Smilgevičiūtė (vocals), Rokas Radzevičius (vocals, acoustic guitar), Enrikas Slavinskis (electric guitar), Salvius Žeimis (percussion) and Bernarda Prušinska (bass guitar). An indispensable tradition of the equinox is the string quartet performing with the band. The concerts are especially adorned with St.
"We have successfully completed the last year and realised that we are ripe for change. Some of the musicians will no longer be in the band. We are extremely grateful to our long-time collaborators Mantvydas Kodžis, Kęstučius Drazdauskas, Gediminas Žilas, Egle Jačauskienė. Together we have had a rich, fruitful and eventful creative journey. With the remaining members we are already mobilising new forces and making creative plans. We can already see that it is going to be a new, intriguing and eventful year. In the summer we hope to hold the first concert of the Internet-blowing "Pure Satires", and we have other plans. But first, let's get out of our winter clothes and come together to welcome spring, as we have been doing for years," says Rokas Radzevičius, the leader of Skyle, and says that he has already written two brand new songs for spring, which will definitely be played after St.
"Spring Equinox Concert" is a strong tradition, but never identically repeated. Each year the group creates a new programme for that year only. Of course, it includes songs to mark the magical time when day turns to night.
After the Spring Equinox, it's as if life is turning to the light side of the spectrum: the days are getting longer, the evenings are getting lighter, the weather is warming up, and people's mood is noticeably mending.
As spring approaches, people naturally long for light, goodness and beauty. Skyle's Equinox Concerts offer all this. They are full of an exceptional aura, which is not only the crystal vocals of Aistė Smilgevičiūtė and the carefully composed music and lyrics of Roks Radzevičius, but also the special light spectacle created by Marius Selevičius and the high quality of the sound, which has been entrusted to Valdas Karpuškas for many years.
