The Return of the Actors Trio

Unbelievable, but they are together again. Maybe a little bit changed, a little bit out of step with the years, but they have retained the kinship of souls and respect for the common values of all three of them - music and poetry. The legendary Aktorių trio - Kostas Smoriginas, Oleg Ditkovskis and Saulius Bareikis - is unrivalled until now.

After very successful concerts in Palanga, Kaunas, Panevėžys and Vilnius in December, the Aktorių trio will perform at the request of their fans in Medininkai Castle! The actors will be accompanied by composer, pianist and song arranger Audrius Balsys in a nostalgia-filled concert of time-tested original songs.

"When we started singing, we didn't think that our songs would become so popular. What we did was subjective, personal, very close to everyday life," is how Ditkovskis describes the Aktorių trio.

"Music is a diary of spiritual well-being. Creativity is not only based on individual experiences or reflects a person's inner self, but also sends a personal message to the audience", says S. Bareikis.

O K. Smoriginas has no doubt that even old songs, which are popular with the audience, can be sung in a new way - every time they appear on the stage, the interpretations and accents differ.

Even seven years in the making, the meeting with the legendary group will undoubtedly fill the hearts of the audience with a sincere, life-affirming authenticity.

"Aktorių trio" was formed in 1995. The well-known actors, who perform heart-warming original songs on stage, became popular in no time. Prominent concerts, big-selling albums, tours abroad, the uniqueness of their sound and manner of playing - all this has led to an even greater interest in their original songs.

Although there have been longer and shorter creative breaks, as the artists themselves say, the phenomenon of the Aktorių Trio has always been good lyrics and good music, and all their songs are openings and confessions.

The international summer festival "Music in Medininkai Castle" will start on 6 July in the historic Medininkai Castle, one of the largest in Eastern and Central Europe, and will invite the audience to open-air concerts in the middle of nature until the end of August. The magnificent castle, which dates back to the 14th century and is surrounded by a defensive wall, will be filled with jazz, oldies and Brazilian rhythms, while the closing ceremony will feature bardic legends.
