"The Other Shore" is a metaphor, a sign, an exposition of life as a phenomenon in time, of the human experience and the soul. It is a state that has grown up with you, a certain stage in you and in time, an imprint that you cannot erase. It is painfully its own, like a spiritual pain that intensifies with the coming of autumn. Life is fascinating in that it hurts the soul. A sensitive person opens the door to a kindred spirit. After decades of meditation and purposeful wandering through the labyrinths of existence, she chose her portrait as the object of observation and analysis. I am grateful to her for not abandoning me in the critical twists and turns of my life and allowing me to pierce the veil of the Great Mystery in the language of photography. Everything has a beginning and an end. Only the Other Shore, travelling through time, never comes close. It goes on forever, towards Eternity. THE OTHER COAST is the essence of human life, an existential question, full of doubts, conclusions, attempts to embrace the unfathomable, to understand the world and oneself, to identify the values of life in the changing experience in the miraculous existential flash given to us. The exhibition will be open at Vilnius City Hall (Didžioji str. 31, Vilnius) until 31 October.
