A. Ostashenkov's worldview, relationship to man, values and authorial style are not subject to changing times, epochs, systems, fashions. His profound creativity, seriousness and speaking about fundamental meanings have been a strong counterbalance to the superficiality, object-orientedness and vanity of today's world for several decades. It is a work that caresses the attention, makes one pause, immerse oneself in a meditative journey into the depths of one's own being, to experience the breath of eternity that is spread out in the photographic images, to empathetically feel the author's time, the fates and experiences of the people who surround him.
The exhibition presents the series "Portrait of Unnamed Time" (1968-2024), which was created by the author over many decades and which was prompted by the need to reflect on changing time and experience, to collect fragments of his life that he had personally experienced, and to summarise time and his own being in time. The series summarises the experiences of the author and his contemporaries, discusses the passage of time, personal and societal fractures, values, relationships, and temporality. The exhibition is full of thoughtful existential sensitivity, a sense of temporality and nothingness, and a special depth and attention to the environment, the human condition, emotion, and destiny.
