Alytus is not about streets, buildings or parks. Alytus is YOU. It is a city that is created by everyone, individually and collectively. And so day by day, as winter gives way to spring and year to year.

Alytus City Municipality invites the citizens of Alytus to look back on the year 2024 and to celebrate the year of the city at the Alytus Year of the Year Awards event, which will take place at the Alytus City Hall in Riga, Lithuania, at 6 pm, on 13 February 2025. Alytus Culture Centre (Pramonės g. 1B), to honour those who have contributed the most to the well-being of the city with their ideas and deeds.

During the ceremony, you will hear the performances of Giedrė Kilčiauskienė, Edmunds Seiliaus and Vakarė Jarmalavičiūtė, and the performances of the dance studios Aušrinė and Vaja, the circus studio Dzūkija and the actors of the Alytus City Theatre.
