The new film by the master of cinema, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, invites viewers into a familiar territory from his previous works - both in terms of direct and thematic and stylistic meanings. A art teacher Samet has been working at a provincial school in a remote village in Eastern Anatolia for four years. Soon it becomes clear that the friendly facade of this modern man hides a far more complex personality - gradually revealing what makes us human. To make matters worse, Samet is accused of inappropriate behavior towards his students and gets involved in a love triangle with Nuray, an English teacher working in a neighboring town.
