The lip armonica is not a very popular instrument in Lithuania, and many people only know it from films, without thinking that it is also possible to play jazz or even classical music. Gianluca Littera, a lip armonica virtuoso from Italy, will try to convince the audience that this musical instrument can be played with dignity even with an orchestra.
Following his fascination with the lip armonica from his teenage years, today Gianluca Littera is one of the few soloists in the world who performs both classical and jazz music on the lip armonica. He is regularly invited to perform by various orchestras and music festivals, and has recorded several CDs, which have received considerable public interest and critical acclaim. The concert programme includes well-known classical works, music by Ennio Morricone and Astor Piazzolla.
