"Flowers wither, grasses wither, trees fall, but through the magic of the player's faith and creativity, it can come back to life again, take on other forms and live forever. Play, play, play, so that the spell never dissipates, because if faith is lost, the work will become nothing more than a blank canvas painted with simple ink, the drawing will become a scrap of paper turning to ash. Play, play, play - to keep the fire of the heart burning and to give life to matter by touching it, to remain a child for whom a sinuous line is a sinister snake, a flower blossom an enchanted queen. Dreams are the reality that gives meaning to life. Myths, religions and cultural narratives often depict life and death as a continuous cycle. Art constantly raises questions about the value of life, the inevitability of death and the human desire to transcend boundaries. In the work, games encourage us to think not only about our finitude, but also about how we live and what we leave behind." (Aušra Vaitkūnienė) Gallery "Meno parkas" (Rotušės a. 27, Kaunas) will be open until 9 March.
