Part 1: Artiom Zalicko, Paula Bagotyriūtė, Arnas Mikalkėnas
This ensemble represents the contemporary and improvisational music specialization of LMTA (class of teacher A. Mikalkėnos).
Artiom Zalicko - LMTA master's student, alternative music performer and composer, discovery of the "Vilnius Jazz Young Power" competition, nominee, 1st place winner of the "Mama studios" composition competition, member of the "Synthetika" group. Artiom cooperates with young composers and improvisers, and is also an active member of the LMTA student community, a participant in Metric master courses.
Paula Bagotyriūtė started studying music at the Aleksandars Kačanauskas Music School in Kaunas. Her first teacher is Irina Fedchenko - Carbonaro. Since 2011 Paula continued her music studies at the Juoz Naujalis Music Gymnasium in Kaunas in the class of expert teacher Birutė Kumpikienė. Paula has won prizes in many international and national competitions in Latvia, the Czech Republic, France, Spain, Malta, Lithuania. She also actively performs in various chamber ensembles and has won prizes in Lithuania and Latvia. Paula is currently a contemporary and improvisational music master's student at LMTA and participates in many contemporary and improvisational music projects.
Arno Mikalkėnas' fields of activity are jazz, composition, improvisational and electroacoustic music. He is a creator attentive to sound, striving to go beyond any musical framework and looking for a unique relationship with music. A. Mikalkėnas' dowry of musical experiences is particularly abundant. Not only classical and jazz music studies, but also echoes of musique concrète, rock, metal and other genres.
Part 2: Dj. Extended feat. Kazimieras Jušinskas, ft. Arkady Gotesman
Kazimieras Jušinskas is one of the most creative saxophonists of the young generation. He became interested in jazz music at the Vilnius Conservatory, and continued his studies at the LMTA Jazz Department. The artist actively performs at Lithuanian jazz festivals with the bands "Brave Noises" and "Džiazlaif" (with both of them he won the VJYP "Grand Prix"), collaborates with DJ Extended, plays in the "Improdimensijos" orchestra. He is also a member of the groups "The Septet", "Castor Stetson" and the saxophone quartet "Katarsis4", participates in various interdisciplinary projects, and engages in pedagogical practice.
Kristupas Gikas - flutist, improviser, experimental music performer, creates music under the pseudonym "DJ Extended". in 2012 he graduated from the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts and continued his classical music studies at LMTA, where he later turned to improvisational music. The performer also studied at The Hague Royal Conservatory in the Netherlands. Kristupas is a member of the improvisational music ensemble "Laivo troupe", actively participates in various projects of this genre, electronic music and interdisciplinary art in Lithuania and abroad.
Arkadijus Gotesmanas is one of the most inventive and productive Lithuanian jazz creators. Having made his debut on the jazz scene in the 1990s, he has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including Roland Dahinden, Vladimir Volkov, Viacheslav Gaivoronsky, Arkady Shilkloper, Julian Joseph, John Zorn, Jack Siron, Frank London, Anthony Coleman, Charles Gayle, Tim Daisy, Joey Baron, Barry Guy, Dominic Duval, Dave Douglas, Albert Beger.
