This and other sacred music works will be presented to Panevėžys residents and guests by the Panevėžys Musical Theatre Choir (director Giedrius Pavilionis), which is an important participant in the theatre's musical performances. During the theatre's lifetime, under the direction of choirmaster A. Viesulas, the ensemble has participated in almost twenty theatre productions, as well as preparing programmes of Lithuanian composers, sacred music, and Lithuanian folk songs, and presenting them during state holidays and ceremonies.
The choir regularly performs joint concert programmes with the Panevėžys Musical Theatre ensembles - orchestras, quartets, as well as concerts together with the Šiauliai State Chamber Choir Polifonija, Vilnius State Choir, the Lithuanian Armed Forces Orchestra, conducted by D. Pavilionis, E. Pehk, M. Bražas and others.
Since 2024, the Panevėžys Musical Theatre Choir has been under the direction of Giedrius Pavilionis.
Pavilionis is a promising Lithuanian choirmaster, a graduate of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Having graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2007 with a Master's degree in Choral Conducting, Pavilionis has been actively conducting since 2005, and is a laureate of the International Conducting Competition in Poland. He has prepared and performed a number of programmes of works by Lithuanian and foreign composers, and has participated in the preparation of educational projects: children's musical fairy tale "The Journey of God's Beetle" by L. Vilkončius, "Christmas with the Vilnius Choir" by L. Vilkončius, "Children's Mass" by J. Rutter, and others. Concert programmes "The Creator's Glances at Lithuania", "Jazz Mass", "I Sing Lithuania", "Angel Songs" conducted by G. Pavilionis, together with the Vilnius Choir, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the Lithuanian Armed Forces Orchestra, the Kaunas Big Band, and various children's choirs, have been performed in many concert halls in Lithuania - the Kaunas Philharmonic, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, the Klaipėda Concert Hall, the Birštonas Cultural Centre, etc.
