Accordionist from Serbia, promoter of contemporary music, performer of exceptional artistic sense, Vladimir Blagojevich completed his accordion studies in the class of V. Vasovičius, and obtained his master's degree at the University of the Arts in Bern in the class of Teodoro Anzellotti, one of the most famous accordion artists in the world. Since 2015 Vladimir Blagojevich works as a professor at the Faculty of Philology and Arts of the University of Kragujevac, and his students achieve significant achievements in national and international competitions.
Actively performing in Europe and beyond, the artist, educator and member of the judging panel of accordion competitions, his artistic creation transcends the country's borders, which is reflected not only in the previously mentioned areas, but also in his collaboration in creating new works for solo accordion with many internationally recognized and world-renowned composers, such as Matthias Pintscher, Pierre Boulez, Matthias Arter, Miroslav Srnka, Wolfgang Rihm, Richard. Berret, Djuro Živković, Oscar Bianchi and others. As a prominent promoter of contemporary and classical music, Vladimir has premiered more than 80 new works as a soloist and in other ensembles.
V. Blagojevic constantly promotes the development of the accordion as an instrument, its wider recognition and its integration into the world's artistic, chamber and orchestral scenes.
At the XXVI International Accordion Festival Vilnius 2023, Vladimir Blagojevich will present the works of contemporary music and Serbian composers.
