Pianist Rokas Zubovas and the French electronic musician Phil Von, driven by their love for the great Lithuanian genius M.A. K. Čiurlionis' work and personality, they have been making music together since 2018. Their latest work "Endless Horizons", a collaboration with Justine Ribiere, a French viola da gamba player, and the Lithuanian video installation artist Akvile Anglickaite, is included in the programme of the Lithuanian Season in France 2024. The programme is based on the creative legacy of Čiurlionis, his world of ideas and symbols, innovatively interpreted and made meaningful by four very different artists.
In response to Čiurlionis' need for constant renewal and modern exploration, and the need for a communion of the arts, this unique quartet of artists will lead the audience through a series of symbolic, meditative soundscapes on stage, using live audio-visual improvisations, each time revealing a different kind of creative stage exploration.
