The interdisciplinary art duo BIONICS (L. Pranaitytė and U. Pakers) is based on the synthesis of art and science, on themes exploring human perception and the relationship between organic formations and technology. CODEX.PROTOTYPE consists of five parts - prototypes that experience different time periods, revealing changes in the perception of life, identity, technology and IoT: from an event that changed flora and fauna to the notion that existence does not require a physical body. The narrative is based on historical/factual information, principles and laws of nature in a simulated environment. The exhibition can be experienced as a kind of experiment on the future evolution of organic formations, which starts today. The works in the exhibition combine different media (sound, image, installation, object art, light, performativity) and disciplines (natural sciences, philosophy). Interactivity, sensoriality, image projection (mapping) technology are used. The sound compositions combine ambient, electro, minimal, glitch, techno styles and the aesthetics of digitally transformed voice. The focus is on the frequency, timbre and changes in sound qualities.
