For the first time in Lithuania - Božo Vrećo! "An artist with an angelic voice that heals the soul and opens the heart." This is according to The New York Times. And we promise a performance that will enchant you. Slows breathing. Takes you to another dimension - a whole world of sevdah music.
Sevdah is a 500-year-old traditional music genre of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is characterized by complex, emotionally intense, passionately performed melodies. The beauty of love, suffering, and longing are mostly sung. Therefore, sevdah is often compared to Portuguese fado or French chansons and is called Balkan blues.
For a long time, no one dared to change the old songs, let alone create new ones. But Božo, who took this step, became an outstanding representative of modern sevdah. Audiences are left breathless not only by his vocals, but also by his unique visual identity. God is both male and female. The eccentric style distinguishes the performer from the crowd, but the recognition of the listeners is gained, the storm of enthusiasm in sold-out performances is caused by the music: "My voice conquers, liberates. And creativity and music demystify all questions and doubts. I'm happy about that," says the performer, looking forward to the first meeting with you!
