Bryan Adams has made no secret of the fact that with this album he is back to normal after the Covid-19 pandemic. Describing the album, he also said: "The pandemic and the shutdown really showed how easily we can lose everything. Suddenly all the touring stopped, nobody could jump in the car and go wherever they wanted. The theme song "So Happy It Hurts" is about freedom, autonomy, spontaneity and the thrill of the open road. The new songs touch on many other things in life: happiness and, above all, the mystery of human connection."
