Great news for fans of electronic synthpop music - on 24 November, legendary German band Camouflage will perform at Vilnius' Compensa concert hall. "Camouflage - 40 years of music, videos, photos. We want to share these memories with you and the whole team", say the musicians. But, they say, this excursion is not only about beauty, luck and excitement. It must also have new content, not just memories and archive material.
The musicians will not only play well-known pieces, but also promise new creations. "We wouldn't be Camouflage if we didn't accept a new challenge. We will go into the studio with the whole band to get inspired for new songs so that we can happily recreate a new and even more exciting Camouflage later this year. Only then, from our point of view, does it really make sense to play a tour, as it will bring together the past, present and future and we will be able to offer a new concept that will give you and us the quality of performance we all expect," the band said in a statement.
Camouflage will be back in Lithuania after 13 years. Previously, the band visited our country in 2004, 2006 and 2011 with great success. The autumn concerts in the Baltics will be the only time this year that the band will perform outside Germany. The band's music is very popular with listeners in Lithuania. "Camouflage is one of the most famous representatives of the synthpop genre, along with Depeche Mode, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, a-ha, OMD and other legends of the genre. The band's most famous hits were "Love Is a Shield" and "The Great Commandment", which became immortal classics and are still frequently played on radio stations today. Other hits include "Strangers Thoughts", "Heaven (I Want You)", "Me and You" and "I Can't Feel You".
The band's most notable albums were Methods of Silence (1989), Voices & Images (1988) and Sensor (2003). The band's most recent work to date, "Greyscale", was released in 2015 and reached a high of number 14 on the German album chart.
