Festival "THEATRAL IDS'2025" recommend and invite
April 23 at 18.00 on the small stage of the Vilnius Old Theater, formerly the Theater on Pohulanka, the Polish STUDIO Theater in Vilnius will present the cult monodrama "TU MÓWI SZWEJK," directed by Slawomir Gaugyna, based on Jaroslav Hašek's drama "The Adventures of the Brave Warrior Szwejk." In the title role is Edward Kiejzik. The monodrama was based on the text of the novel about the brave warrior Szwejk - one of the most famous works of Czech literature in the world (it has been translated into almost 60 languages worldwide). The play, which shows the senselessness of war and the caricatured nature of military relations, was able to occupy and amuse the audience. Edward Kiejzik managed to perfectly impersonate the legendary Josef Szwejk of the Royal Vinohrads in Prague, whose resume included such professional experience as dog trading. Through his service adventures as adjutant to Captain Lukács, he showed the grotesqueness of service and the absurdity of war.
