A new teacher - Miss Novak - gets a job at an elite school. She teaches conscious eating classes. A group of teenage Miss Novak chooses the subject for different reasons: some want to save the planet, some want to lose weight, others want to get rid of their addiction to junk food or believe that conscious eating will help them pass exams better. Not only that, but Miss Novak's subject can earn extra credit or even apply for a scholarship. Miss Novak's almost evangelical passion for her subject engages her students, especially when there is no one waiting at home except indifferent parents. Eventually, the strong bond between the teacher and the students becomes dangerous, reminding many of the infamous Johnstown. Jessica Hausner once again dissects current society without any nerve, with the coldness of a surgeon's hand. The director has repeatedly emphasized that the most interesting thing for her is the ambiguous nature of man and the paradoxical nature of his choices. While creating a true, suspenseful mystery, it does not provide clear answers to the audience. The film premiered in Cannes.
