Daddy Was A Milkman announces an acoustic tour to major cities in Lithuania and Latvia

Daddy Was A Milkman is launching a special acoustic tour with special shows in Lithuania and Latvia this spring. This programme will give the audience a unique opportunity to hear well-known songs performed in a new, intimate and extremely sensitive way with Latvian guitar virtuoso Gints Smukais.

"I was very lucky to meet the incredible Latvian guitar virtuoso Gints Smukais this winter. For me he is just an incredible guitar wizard. Gints opened our concert in Riga at the Palladium concert hall. There I heard for the first time how he performs his music in a unique style. I listened to his entire rehearsal without blinking, I was impressed," says Daddy Was A Milkman, whose real name is Ignas Pociūnas.

According to the artist, the idea of performing his songs in an acoustic format had been around for a long time, but there was a lack of a unique guitarist who would be able to capture the audience's attention with one single instrument for several hours. "He can, and he does it beautifully. We talked about the possibility of playing together and it didn't take long. We met in Riga after the New Year, picked and tried over thirty songs from the Daddy Was A Milkman repertoire, and I can honestly say that I've never heard my own music sound like that before. Gints is full of amazing musical solutions and the guitar in his hands sounds like several instruments," says Ignas.
