Dainotas Varnas and Kaunas Big Band "Frank Sinatra Show" - three special performances in Klaipėda, Vilnius and Kaunas. Spring programme!
 
Together with the Kaunas Big Band in the legendary tribute project "Frank Sinatra Show", Dainotas Varnas performs an hour and a half programme of the most popular songs by the legendary F. Sinatra.
 
"The Frank Sinatra Show with the Kaunas Big Band is a serious challenge, but the hugely talented Dainotas Varnas has all the necessary qualities and has proved it perfectly in the first shows, which were sold out in advance.
 
"My Way, Strangers in the Night, Fly Me to the Moon, Under My Skin, Love and Married, New York, New York - you won't find many people who haven't heard at least one Sinatra song. As soon as you see the titles, the superhits immediately pop into your head.
 
Sinatra performed them with great ease - virtuosity. Don't be fooled, they seem feather-light only because the American legend had exceptional musical talent and years of practice. 
 
To sing a full programme of Frank Sinatra songs with a big band requires not only talent and innate musicality, but also a certain timbre of vocals and the ability to convey that elusive 'Sinatra-esque' charm.
 
"I received a kind invitation from Kaunas Big Band. This is the best gift I have ever received! We started at Christmas. It was beautiful, festive. You could see from the reaction that people really liked it. I'm glad that we didn't stop there and that we're going back to the fans. We modelled the programme. It's less about snow and more about love. Especially since we are performing in Klaipėda on Valentine's Day. And we'll be in Vilnius and Kaunas at the beginning of March, so we wish that spring will come sooner", - says Varnas.
 
Dainotas Varnas is one of the most musical and beautiful singers of the Lithuanian pop scene. He has been singing almost all his life - since the first grade in the legendary boys' choir "Ąžuoliukas". And later on, perfecting his vocals with renowned teachers and developing his solo career. His ability to juggle even the most intricate melodies is essential to his success in performing the songs of Frank Sinatra.
 
The singer prepared for Sinatra's concerts meticulously - like an actor for a leading role in a major film. "I read everything I could find about Sinatra himself, I was interested in the American music of the time, the fashion, the norms of behaviour, even the way of speaking," says Varnas.
