Megadeth's music, performed by co-founder David Ellefson, to be heard in Lithuania
In spring 2024, another big name will delight Lithuanian music lovers: the Grammy Award-winning bassist and co-founder of Megadeth, David Ellefson, will be launching his first ever solo tour, the Bass Warrior Tour 2024. He will grace exclusive European cities with a captivating and sumptuous evening of heavy music, complete with deep cuts and insightful stories from his illustrious career. This musical journey will include his role as a founding member of Megadeth, material from his solo project Ellefson, as well as Black Sabbath, Motörhead and other rock and metal classics. The only concert in Lithuania will take place on Friday 22 March 2024 at Vilnius club Vakaris.

David Ellefson has come a long way from a humble upbringing in rural Minnesota in the USA to conquering the world stage as a member of thrash metal titans Megadeth. He is recognised and respected for his unique, tenacious and dynamic playing style and his unwavering dedication to his musical craft. Over the course of a long career, he has woven a vast professional tapestry as a bass guitarist, songwriter, record producer and educator. As a member of Megadeth, Ellefson has been nominated for ten Grammy Awards, co-written and released numerous gold and platinum recordings, and toured the world for more than 3 decades.
In addition to Megadeth, David's playing and creative career has spanned the world; He has used his recording and touring skills on several renowned and internationally acclaimed recording and touring projects including Soulfly, F5, Temple of Brutality, Altitudes and Attitude (with Frank Bello of Anthrax) and Metal Allegiance, a super-group formed with songwriter and bassist Mark Menghi and featuring drummer Mike Portnoy ("Dream Theater") and guitarist Alex Skolnick ("Testament").

David Ellefson holds a BA in Business Marketing and continues to lecture on a variety of music and business related topics, as well as being immersed in other non-music related business projects: not only is he the President of the EMP Label Group record company, but he also owns and operates his own coffee brand, Ellefson Coffee Co.
Ahead of his Bass Warrior Tour 2024, he enthused: "I see my stage career as a musical warrior, always accompanied by the bass guitar. I'm looking forward to bringing these songs back to the stage, sharing introspective and entertaining stories about their creation. You're in for a fun and wild roller coaster ride with lots of low notes and high notes!"
On this tour, Ellefson will be accompanied by his long-time friend and colleague, guitarist and musical director Andy Martongelli, who has always been by his side in his solo projects as Ellefson-Soto (with the renowned vocalist Jeff Scott Soto), and who has played in the band's "Altitudes and Attitude" tours in Europe.
