Drew McDowell (ex-Coil) to perform in Lithuania for the first time
Drew McDowell (ex-Coil) is coming to Lithuania for the first time as a famous Scottish musician, producer and sound experimenter. His performance is a unique opportunity to hear one of the most influential figures in contemporary experimental music, whose work has shaped the ambient, industrial and electronic music scenes. McDowell is known as a member of the legendary Coil project and has collaborated with Psychic TV, Sonic Youth and other cult artists.
This time Drew McDowell will present his latest work, which is a deep and atmospheric journey through time and space. His music features hypnotic drone textures, minimalist melodies and sonic experiments that immerse the listener in a dystopian world.
The concert will be opened by the Lithuanian electronic music project Valemara, known for its hypnotic, ambient and ritualistic sounds. Valemara's work is a meditation of sounds that will perfectly complement Drew McDowell's performance. By the way, this project is a very rarely performed project, the last time Valemara was on stage was more than two years ago.
Drew McDowell is not only a musician, but also a true sonic alchemist, whose work has inspired many contemporary artists. His concerts are not only about music, but also about visual and emotional experiences that leave a lasting impression.
The Hook will have a minimum of 100 seats in the small room, which will be free for music lovers to occupy in between smoke breaks or the spectacular journeys to and from the bar.
