We invite you to the goSUP paddle boat tour on the Merkís River! Escape the hustle and bustle of the city - regain your strength before a new week in the nature.

On such a beautiful autumn day, we can't resist organising another nature tour for a short getaway from the city, so we invite you to join us on a SUP paddleboarding tour in the Šalčininkai district, not far from Vilnius. We will start at the ruins of the former Paulava Republic (Merkinė, Šalčininkai district) and finish at Vilkiškės Manor.

We will paddle on the Merk near its source, where it is not yet wide, winding, flows near historical manors, surrounded by old and majestic trees, a completely different section than the usual routes on this river. There are few obstacles along the route, but there are some fun rapids that are easy to negotiate.

TIME Please arrive at 11.00am, our transport will arrive to take you to the starting point. We will start with a briefing, during which you will hear all the information you need for winter swimming: how to get on the paddle board, how to swim correctly, how to deal with a fall, which route to take and other important rules of behaviour on the water. The briefing takes about 15 minutes, then you will swim. The route is about 12 km long, which is about 3 hours of swimming down the river. You should plan for up to 4 hours for the whole tour (with preparation, instructions, packing after the hike).

LOCATION. We will meet at the parking lot next to Vilkiski Manor, link to the map https://maps.app.goo.gl/y3d6dPzSwSuYGTvw9 We will leave our cars here, transport will take you to the starting point, so when you arrive you will be close to your cars.

TIME. Please arrive before 11.00, a minibus will arrive to bring you to the starting point, where we will be waiting for you, with all the equipment ready for you. PREPARATION. Wear loose, sporty clothes that don't get mixed up in the water (you can also roll your pants up:) Clothes should be chosen according to the weather, if it's supposed to be cooler, have warmer clothes. The swim will take place in nature, so don't forget to bring mosquito repellent, sunscreen and drinking water. We recommend having dry clothes in the car in case you accidentally fall (the chances are very low, but it's better to be prepared).

COST. The cost of the Merkiss River Tour is 40 Eur (price includes: instruction, all necessary equipment, transport from the finish to the starting point).
In case of very unfavourable weather conditions (storm, thunderstorm or other dangerous natural phenomenon), which may endanger the participants of the event, the event may not take place at the scheduled time and may be rescheduled to a different date by mutual agreement. In this case, the participants of the tour will be informed in person by contacting the telephone number indicated during the purchase of the tickets.

DETAILS. The rowing tour is open to persons aged 14 and over accompanied by an adult. Exceptions are made for students of goSUP school. Please note that the accompanying instructor does not swim with the tour.

The tour is not allowed for persons under the influence of alcohol or other substances. The organisers reserve the right to refuse to provide the service to such persons and not to refund the money paid for the ticket.

If the tour takes place but the client does not show up for the tour and does not contact the administration for his/her non-arrival in advance (24 hours prior to the start of the tour) using the contact details on the ticket, no refund will be made. The ticket purchased is valid only for the tour date indicated on the ticket. Refunds will only be issued if the tour is cancelled. If you wish to exchange your tickets, an exchange fee of EUR 5 applies. You can exchange your tickets for another tour up to 24 hours before the start of the tour.
