On 24 April. Panevėžys City Art Gallery, Ceramics Pavilion (3, Republic Street) opened the exhibition "Jazzing with Glass. International Symposium of Art Glass "GlassJazz".
"Welcome to Hell!" - this inscription greeted glass art lovers in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020 on the door of the art glass studio "Glasremis" (Meistrų g. 9) in Panevėžys. The international art glass symposium "GlassJazz" was born here and has already been held four times. And it was hot in every sense. Glass artists from the Czech Republic, Poland, Finland, Sweden, the USA, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, China, Germany, Russia, Latvia, Estonia, Iceland, Belarus, France, Belgium and, of course, Lithuania and the masters of jazz, joined together in lively improvisational bonds. Blikas, a professional pyrotechnics and fireworks company, amazed with laser lights. All those who visited the Glasremis art glass studio during the symposium days could see everything up close and talk to world-class art glass artists. More information about the artists was available at the creative presentation evenings held during the symposia.
On the occasion of the International Jazz Day, the Panevėžys City Art Gallery is playing the echoes of the glass symposia with a jazz beat, screening the original films created during the symposia by Vytautas Adomaitis (2016), Tomas Kalinauskas (2018) and Aleksas Matveevas and Haroldas Klevinskas (2020).
