Samba Me is a travelling world music band with roots in the Brazilian music tradition. The mastery of four dedicated improvising musicians, their interplay, melodious heartwarming songs and hot rhythms - Maracatú, Samba, Ijexá, Choro, Jongo, Baião, Candomblé and more - engage the audience in an act of authentic musical expression. Their concerts are always dynamic, from the calm, warming bossa nova to the slightly wild moments of the drum show, when not only the musicians but also the audience can break free from the shackles of "normality" and completely relax and open their imagination.

Vocalist, composer, lyricist and producer, who got to know her Brazilian colleagues during her music studies in the Netherlands. The confidently rising charismatic Egle, represented by the record label ZenneZ Records, recently released her solo album Bird's Notes in the Netherlands and has long since earned her place on the Dutch and international jazz and Brazilian music scene as a creative, slightly flighty improviser endowed with a warm, distinctive timbre. Born into a family of music lovers, Eglė has been singing along with her parents' recordings of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Joao Gilberto, Frank Sinatra and many more since she was a young girl. Now a Master's student at the Amsterdam Conservatory, Eglė sings in a wide range of projects - from traditional, contemporary, Brazilian jazz, fusion bands to virtuoso orchestral arrangements (with the Upper Austrian Jazz Orchestra (AT), the Jazz Orchestra of Concertgebouw (NL), the Amstel BIg Band (NL) and others) - while travelling constantly throughout Europe and Brazil. Eglė has been drinking American and Brazilian music like a sponge all her life, abstracted by its beauty and richness, and it has become her musical world, arranged in a feminine and melodic way, so that the audience can share it.
