It seems that our bodies have never been more important than when we look at ourselves and others. For a growing younger generation, this translates into vulnerability and sometimes even outright violence - racism, weight shaming, sexism and bullying. These are the consequences of a gaze that reduces people to physical characteristics. Framed seeks to liberate this gaze. Eight performers share sensitive details from the history of their bodies. They show how external features reveal only a small part of who a person really is. Their words and movements reveal a search for self-acceptance and pride.
