Programme: original compositions and traditional rhythms
Six musicians, Six musicians with a passion for traditional African and South American music - AYOM. Meeting in Lisbon, the six musicians discovered a common musical language, featuring the rhythms of Brazil, Angola and Cape Verde, intertwined with South American and African musical traditions. Each member of the group brings a different story, whether Brazilian, Italian, Greek or Angolan, which merge into a unique fusion of sounds. The concert will feature traditional rhythms such as semba, funaná, maracatu, kizomba, maloya and many others, capturing the vibrancy of different cultures.
This year AYOM launches its new album "Sa.Li.Va", whose title reflects the three main impulses behind their music: "SA-grado" (sacredness), "LI-berdade" (freedom and love), and "VA-lentia" (courage). This album, produced by Latin Grammy winner Guilherme Kastrup, combines organic and electronic sounds, revealing a new yet still authentic musical identity for AYOM.
AYOM's concerts are not only about rhythms, but also about emotions that make the audience feel freedom, joy and communion. The power of AYOM's music lies not only in its versatility, but also in its ability to create an emotional connection with the audience, so we invite you to experience together a celebration where freedom, tradition and contemporary energy meet.
