When you go on stage, you can improvise freestyle - without rules, you can do whatever you want. With so many choices, it's easy to get distracted, to wander off, to miscommunicate with your partner, and to miss out on interesting moments and plot twists.
We bring to you the game of the scene method, which originated in Chicago's theatres and has spread all over the world. It allows us to create group plays that grow in a unified direction, to explore the limits of our own and our partners' abilities, to get into absurd situations and to explore all kinds of ideas without agreeing in advance what we will play about. The method itself is simple - we start the plays boldly, make random mistakes, and then work together with our colleagues to create comedy and sharpen our ideas. By talking to each other, improvisers can create wonderful and unforgettable moments for the audience, but it takes a little bit of observation, discipline, teamwork and a shared approach to what we are trying to achieve in our plays. It is these skills that we will develop when we meet together.
Each meeting will be different and the exercises will be chosen according to the abilities of the group. We will start easy and see together how deep we can dive by touching more complex techniques.
