On a weekend morning we invite you to try a brand new route on the Ūla River!

This is the perfect route for the start of autumn. The river is narrow and very winding, with some non-threatening obstacles that can certainly be manoeuvred through.

ŪLA. A legendary river in Dzūkija, with many twists and turns, and many overhanging trees. At every turn there are surprises: fallen trees, lowland dunes, high sandy cliffs. With its strong current, many obstacles and twists and turns, this is a river that promises plenty of adventure and beautiful scenery. The swim takes about 3-4 hours.

TIME. Please arrive before 11:00 am, where we will safely drop off the cars and transfer to a minibus to take you to the starting point. The expedition will start with a briefing, during which you will hear all the necessary information: how to climb on the paddle board, how to swim correctly, how to behave in case of a fall, which route to take and other important rules of behaviour on the water. The briefing takes about 15 minutes, then you will swim. The route is 11 km long, which is about 3-4 hours of swimming down the river. You should plan for about 4 hours for the whole tour (with preparation, instructions, packing after the hike).

LOCATION. We will meet in the village of Rudnya, Varena district, at the homestead Ūlos vingis, address Malūno g. 12, link to the map https://goo.gl/maps/81rsffxwae7qpoPo7 We will leave the cars here, the bus will take you to the starting point, so you will be at your cars immediately after the arrival.


APPARANGA. Wear loose, sporty clothes that won't make it difficult to get into the water (you can also roll up your trousers).We recommend to have dry clothes in the car in case you accidentally fall (the chances of falling are very small, but it's better to be prepared).


COST The price of the tour along the Ula river is 40 Eur (the price includes: instruction, all necessary equipment, transport from the finish to the starting point). In case of very unfavourable weather conditions (storm, thunderstorm or other dangerous natural phenomenon), which may endanger the participants of the event, the event may not take place at the scheduled time and may be postponed to another date by mutual agreement.


DETAILS. The rowing tour is open to persons aged 14 years and over, accompanied by an adult. Please note that the accompanying instructor does not swim with you during the tour.

Persons under the influence of alcohol or other substances are not allowed to participate in the tour. The organisers reserve the right to refuse to provide the service to such persons and not to refund the money paid for the ticket. 

If the tour takes place but the client does not show up for the tour and has not contacted the administration in advance (24 hours prior to the start of the tour) using the contact details on the ticket, the money paid for the ticket is not refundable. The ticket purchased is valid only for the tour date indicated on the ticket. Refunds will only be issued if the tour is cancelled. If you wish to exchange your tickets, an exchange fee of EUR 5 applies. You can exchange your tickets for another tour up to 24 hours before the start of the tour.
