We invite all paddling enthusiasts to join a tour on the Varėne River this weekend. You will start on the densely reed-covered meanders of the river, continue through forested and steep slopes and enter Lake Varėnio. The lake is halfway through the tour and is the starting point for a more extreme journey with lots of twists, turns and obstacles. There are lots of beautiful views, fun turns, big smiles, a bit of water and a lot of good mood!

This route is considered to be one of the more difficult ones due to its length and obstacles, and is therefore only recommended for those who are not afraid of a challenge, who are physically fit and who know how to control a paddle board.

TIME. Please arrive before 11.00am, a minibus will arrive to take you all to the starting point, where we will be waiting for you with all the equipment ready for you. We will start with a briefing, during which you will hear all the necessary information: how to get on the paddle board, how to swim correctly, how to behave in case of a fall, which route to take and other important rules of behaviour on the water. The briefing takes about 15 minutes, then you will swim. The route is about 15 km long, which is about 3.5 - 4.5 hours of swimming down the river. You should plan for up to 5 hours for the whole tour (with preparation, instructions, packing after the hike).

PREPAREDNESS. Wear loose, sporty clothes that won't get mixed up in the water (you can roll up your pants:) We recommend you to have some dry clothes in the car in case you accidentally fall down (the chances of it are very small, but it's better to be prepared).



PAYMENT. The price of the tour on the Varėne River is 40 Eur (price includes: instruction, all necessary equipment, transport from the finish to the starting point).

In case of very unfavourable weather conditions (storm, thunderstorm or other dangerous natural phenomenon), which may endanger the participants of the event, the event may not take place at the scheduled time and may be postponed to another date by mutual agreement.


FURTHER. The Paddle Tour is open to persons aged 16 years and over accompanied by an adult. Please note that the accompanying instructor does not swim with you during the tour. This tour is recommended for experienced paddlers and participants must be physically fit to tackle the more challenging route.

The tour is not open to persons under the influence of alcohol or other substances. The organisers reserve the right to refuse service to such persons and to withhold refunds.

In the event that the tour takes place but the client fails to attend and does not contact the administration at the contact details on the ticket 24 hours before the start of the tour, no refund will be made. The ticket purchased is valid only for the tour date indicated on the ticket. Refunds will only be issued if the tour is cancelled. If you wish to exchange your tickets, an exchange fee of EUR 5 applies. You can exchange your tickets for another tour up to 24 hours before the start of the tour.
