"We see remote, distant, self-detailed, superfluous, characteristic fragments, fragments of painterly intensity. Our painterly attention flows, spreads over these surfaces of intensities. Here we recognise, here we encounter a creative excess of nuances, details, hints. On the intense surface of the painting, on the surface controlled by the authorial material, which is trodden by abstraction, there is an excess of expression. There are many sophisticated, accumulated, sedimented spots of insight, spots of attitudes and moods somewhere in the oblivion of experience, pools of colour intensities" (from the annotation of the exhibition. Jurgis Dieliautas, Anima Mundi Academia). The exhibition will be on view at S_IN Gallery (Aušros al. 41, Šiauliai) until 28 February.
