"How does it happen?" is a fun interdisciplinary activity for children combining storytelling, verbal, physical and visual communication with the audience and creative collage workshops. This activity is designed to develop attentiveness, empathy, communication, creativity and fine motor skills in children aged 4-8 years old, through interactive storytelling, illustrated with pictures made from recycled materials, which naturally evolves into a collage workshop. It is a great way to indirectly encourage the sustainable and responsible use of resources for play.
The main character of the story and the workshop is... A hole! She just suddenly appeared in a house and is now trying to discover the world around her. However, her first encounter with the world is quite painful - it turns out that a hole in a tooth hurts and she tries to get rid of it as soon as possible. When a hole appears in the pavement, bicycles break, legs break and everyone gets angry at the hole! It also turns out that when you eat a delicious nutcake, both the nutcake and the hole disappear. And when a hole appears in a favourite garment, people rush to throw it out. But Grandma saves the day and comes up with some creative solutions! You will learn them during the workshop, which will be led by Monika Slančauskaitė, an educator and illustrator of children's books.
Event duration - up to 1 hour
Ticket price: 12 Eur. Ticket is required for both the child and the accompanying adult. The child must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for the child's safety and safe behaviour during the workshop.
