"58th Summer of Piano Music" will present a variety of musical discoveries to listeners returning to the apple orchard at the Čiurlionis' cottages in Druksininkai, or rediscovering this blessed space of listening to music.

On 3 June, the 58th summer concert series will be opened by the young talents of the Stasys Šimkus Conservatoire, which this year marks the 100th anniversary of its foundation. The programme of the students of the piano department is symbolically named "Rex" and will be presented by Jokūbas Kulevičius, a student of the Conservatoire.

For the third year in a row, the most outstanding students of all Lithuanian music gymnasiums are presenting themselves at the beginning of the summer concerts. This year, the first concert performers from Kaunas J. Naujalis, Šiauliai S. Sondeckis Gymnasium and National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, who will not only interpret the composer's works, but also, accompanied by the tireless soul of the Druskininkai Čiurlionis Society and excursion leader Aušra Česnulevičienė, will have the opportunity to travel around the sites of Čiurlionis in Druskininkai, get acquainted with the environment that inspired the artist, visit the legendary Raigardas Valley, the masterpiece of Baroque architecture, the Liškiava Monastery complex, where the composer's father used to play organ.
