On February 9, Kaunas will host a Magical Concert for lovers of amazing and fiery music!
Not long ago living in Lithuania, but who has already made a name for herself, the American jazz diva Carmen Moxie (www.karmenmoxie.com) will perform in Kaunas once again!
On February 9,. (On Sunday, February 9, at 6 pm, in the cosy, chamber hall of Kaunas Artists' House (V. Putvinskio str. 56-1), she will give her one and only performance, accompanied by a great international group of musicians: a virtuoso keyboardist, a sensual saxophonist and an inventive drummer!
A little about the singer:
Karmen Moxie is originally from Atlanta, then moved to California, and has devoted her life to jazz, rhythm and blues, soul, and the highest level of pop music!
Born into a family of church choir directors, Moxie has been singing in the church choir since she was a young girl, and has distinguished herself with her unique artistry and high energy. Her passion is soul and rhythm and blues music.
Karmen started her career 20 years ago in the USA and has been a multiple winner of the 2005 Atlanta State Singing Contest. She has performed in more than 35 (!) countries around the world, including special performances for members of the US Armed Forces and their families in countries such as Iraq, Iran, Bahrain and Afghanistan. Her self-penned songs have become popular in many countries around the world, and have been beautifully performed by some of the world's most renowned artists such as: Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Maroon 5, Lady Marmalade, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Gloria Gaynor, as well as songs by famous rockers like Aerosmith and others - according to the authors, they sound more exciting, dynamic and sexy than the songs themselves!
Karmen is a singer with a sensual and spontaneous way of performing, her natural sexuality and incredible inner energy, together with her amazing voice, her lively show and her artistry can melt the biggest glaciers, that's why it has been decided to refrain from her performances in only two places of the planet, the North Pole and the Arctic, and in the Antarctic! Carmen performs the most technically challenging songs with ease, and her lively and absolutely free way of singing leaves no one indifferent.
