Jazz vs. the classics. Or is it the other way around?
We say that both jazz and classical can coexist in a friendly way, because this fusion brings out new and unexpected shades of a piece you have heard. After attending a concert, you will be able to say "I was at a good jazz concert" or "I was at a classical concert". Both are true, as the original programme includes works by J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, Ravel, Grieg, Debussy, Čiurlioni and others. Their nature will allow you to wander through the labyrinths of improvised music. A piano piece, an orchestral piece or an opera fragment - everything can be played by the Kaunas Big Band, inviting the audience to an unexpected frenzy of jazz and classical music. So let the jazz engine be revved up by the classical chart-toppers!
