The performance "Jis ir ji" is based on the postcards of J. Biliūnas and his beloved and future wife Julia, sent to each other from Kharkiv, Anykščiai, Leipzig, Berlin, Zurich, Zakopane, which even after a century still excite with their purity and sincerity, just a few years old the vibration of love.
Birutė Mar: "Indeed, this story is a Lithuanian story of Romeo and Juliet, which we wanted to bring to life on stage - to reconstruct as if it were an old photograph, in which Jonas and Juliet are thinking at the table. I wanted to bring back those subtle vibrations emanating from the work of J. Biliūnas, the love letters of John and Julia."
“The two of them had lived far from each other for many years; neither of them knew about each other for many years, that they both live in the world together. Finally they met... Both were surprised to see each other; in the twinkling of an eye both hearts trembled in their chests; it seemed to the two that they had known each other for a long time, that they had already seen each other. And they both shook hands…”
