Jurga Šeduikyte considers the 1st of January concerts to be a particularly important meeting with her loyal listeners and a growing group of new friends. Every year it is both a tradition and a different experience, which Jurga presents to her listeners through uniquely combined artistic forms: music, poetry, meditative compositions.
According to Jurga, the souls who come to see her start the new year with a deep imprint of peace and found answers, as each song sends her messages that once eased her own fears and anxieties.
Among the many well-known and already legendary songs, the first day of the New Year will also feature songs from Jurga's latest album "Tik aš ir tu". Their stories and melodies include incredible but true human stories, hope to live and gentle motivation to live, lyrics reflecting on relationships and love, the anthem of the new dreamy project in Juodkrantė, the soundtrack of Jurga's Silver Crane-winning animated film "Mora Mora", and other deep personal experiences.
Jurga's new album has been four years in the making and, according to the artist herself, is a very sincere and open conversation with the listener: full of light, optimism, new life and the magical, state-changing vibrations of a clear voice.
Jurga invites everyone to feel them together - under the vaults of St Catherine's she will stand together with the Pasvalys Mixed Choir "Canticum Novum", directed by Rimvydas Mitikas, and a group of her musical companions: Kęstutis Pavalkis (keyboards), Gediminas Stankevičius (percussion), and Rytis Vasiliauskas (bass guitar).
"On the very first day of the year, let's gently embark on a journey with songs, music and conversations - if we start the year with this, I promise, the body will already have a strongly positive memory," the singer intrigues and invites us to experience the depth of the peace of the New Year together.
