,,Lately I have been painting nature, which is close to my heart. In Kaunas - the botanical garden, the juniper valley, the Dubrava swamp and other places. I find many motifs for my paintings in nature. Before I paint, I often think about the composition - how to fill the space of the painting in an interesting way, so I spend a long time composing. I try to use colour to recreate the mood, the atmosphere that I felt at the time in nature. For me, the colours of autumn, winter and early spring are the closest to my character - mist, fog or rain give a mysterious and uncertain mood. The more I paint, the more I realise that painting is closer to music or poetry, because it is more felt than understood. I'll tell you more at the opening of the exhibition,'' the artist J. Krasuckas shared his thoughts as the exhibition approached.
