The Panevėžys Musical Theatre invites you to a festive Christmas concert, where the well-known jazz and light music performer Dainotas Varnas will perform together with the wind orchestra "Garsas". The singer and the Panevėžys Orchestra have already performed together, but this time the audience will be presented with a new programme.
"I am looking forward to the Christmas concert with the wonderful Panevėžys Orchestra "Garsas". We are preparing a special programme that will be available only at this concert. It will be a solemn, festive performance, full of warmth and Christmas spirit. We will try to create a special mood and give the people of Panevėžys a memorable evening," says D. Varnas.
Dainotas Varnas, who has an extraordinarily beautiful timbre, is one of the most musical singers on the Lithuanian pop scene, and his hauntingly melodic songs simply enchant the public. His favourite songs include "Tobula", "Kelias namo", "Kaip tu jautiesi?" and "Pažvelk į dangų". The performer has taken part in the music television projects "Chorus Wars", "X Factor", "Muzikinė kaukė", "Aš esu muzika" and others, has released two albums, and has been awarded the music prize "Aukso lašas".
The Panevėžys Musical Theatre Wind Orchestra "Garsas", led by the conductor Martynas Bražas, is one of the largest and best-known wind orchestras in the Aukstaitija region. The orchestra, which has been in existence for more than six decades, has become a cultural phenomenon in Panevėžys. "Garsas plays a wide range of music genres, from classical to contemporary compositions, jazz and sacred music. The orchestra performs over 40 concerts every year throughout Lithuania, and has successfully appeared at various international festivals.
