Based on the novel by Sholom Aleichem (Israel), in Russian

The two young protagonists - the beautiful Raizel with her black gypsy eyes, and the gentle, imposing Leibl - grow up in a Jewish town. One day, a theatre comes to the town and turns their lives upside down. They decided to run away with the actors and vowed never to part. But they were separated. Their destinies took different paths, they both became stars - he in the Jewish theatre, she in the opera house, they both looked for each other, but it took a long time before they met.

"There is no need to be afraid. Stars don't fall, they wander. Stars wander. Every star is a human soul. Wherever the soul goes, there goes man." The play is about destiny, talent, about being chosen and the price you pay for it, and of course, about love.
