Mukkoka namai invites you to a cozy lecture-discussion with a well-known doctor of children's diseases, a pediatric pulmonologist, a doctor of biomedical sciences, the author of the popular blog "Kasdieniai děti gydytojas užrašai" (Everyday notes of a children's physician), the owner and CEO of the private children's clinic "Mama, I'm fine" in Vilnius, Kaunas, and Klaipėda, Dr. Dr. Indre Plėštytė - Almine
Dr. Indre Plėštytė - Almine says: "Every day, when I am consulting children and their parents, I hear a lot of questions and requests for advice. How can I strengthen my child's immunity? Why do some children get sick often and others only once a year? How do chronic diseases develop and how can I help children to develop their immune system properly? The development of immunity can be compared to a continuous process of continuous, uninterrupted or holiday-free, and ever-improving learning and homework checking.
In this lecture-discussion we will talk about the child's immune system, how it develops and the challenges that lie ahead. We will discuss, in a simple and visual way, why some diseases attack, what the immune system is doing at that time and how to help a child with diseases specific to their age. Only by understanding why children get sick will we be able to avoid treatment mistakes and help little ones grow up healthy. After all, a good start in life is half the work.
After registering, you can send us an e-mail to [email protected] with your questions, which Dr. Indrė Plėštytė-Alminė will answer for you during the lecture-discussion. Dr. Plitsytė (born in 1979) is a paediatrician, paediatric pulmonologist, Doctor of Biomedical Sciences, author of the popular blog "Everyday Notes of a Paediatrician", the owner and CEO of the private children's clinic "Mama, I'm Sergu" in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda. A specialist with many years of experience, she frequently presents papers on children's allergy, nutrition, children's diseases, lung diseases and health policy at conferences and congresses organised by Lithuanian and international organisations, and has received numerous awards for her results and insights.
Many useful tips, visuals and a question-and-answer session. We will tackle these challenges together in a relaxed atmosphere with a cup of coffee or tea!
