Concert Without Chairs is an interactive somatic experience of classical music - a performance that you can be part of. It is a unique, unlike anything else, and therefore hard to describe experience that you can only understand if you try it. Meanwhile, the project's growing fan base speaks for itself.

What happens in the concert hall when we pull up a chair? What if you had complete freedom to find the most comfortable place in the space, the pose, the movement that helps you take the music as deeply into your soul as possible? After all, at home we listen to music from the comfort of our seats, and when no one is watching, we might even wander around the space.

Let your body relax into the music and find your own authentic way of fully experiencing the brilliant combinations of sounds and rhythms of classical music. How different does music sound when you close your eyes or look away, when you sit, stand, lie down or move? You can try out all ways of listening in this experimental concert, where the traditional form of performing a piece of music is complemented by somatic techniques.

This event will bring you up close and personal with three beautiful personalities: somatics teacher and therapist Kamilė Pundziūtė, classical pianist Darius Mažintas and yourself - as never before.

Darius's music evokes love, harmony, peace and takes you on an inner journey, as if you were not listening to a concert, but rather to a spiritual film. Kamilė's speciality is to bring your consciousness back into your body, so that you can experience what is happening around you fully: with your mind, heart and body.

So during this event, alongside masterful classical music, you can expect to experience something new and indescribable, to discover a new quality of your emotional state, of your connection, of your creation and of your life itself.

We will be shoeless in the hall, so warm socks are recommended. 
Clothing - comfortable, allowing you to move freely, lying down and sitting on the ground.
You can bring water, tea and a blanket to sit or cuddle up in for comfort.

The project was born out of a beautiful partnership between Dance Space and Darius Mažintas.

Dance Space has been a decade-long ongoing somatic experience, where participants are invited to immerse themselves in the music, to allow themselves to be in touch with and moved by the alive inside. You always come away from Dance Space events a little different - a little changed, a little more honest and happier.

Darius Mažintas has made music his religion. When, inspired by his somatic experiences, he integrates his new discoveries into his classical performance technique, concerts truly become a spiritual experience. Darius decided to play as little as possible in the traditional concert format after his concert series in prisons in Lithuania and Canada, in the "Looking at the stars" project. So you will hear about this musician and public figure's "classical non-format" many times.
