A festive and atmospheric programme by the Lithuanian Symphony Wind Orchestra - a true musical feast at the beginning of autumn. It will intertwine the golden sound of fanfare with the sultry rhythms of Latin America. The programme will feature the music of John Williams, perhaps Hollywood's most famous composer, the author of the soundtracks to the films Star Wars, Home Alone, Harry Potter and others, José Rafael Pascual's Spanish Vilaplana, Alfredo Reed's Latin American composition, Stephen Bulla's melodic Rhapsody for Flute and Wind Orchestra (soloist: Ernesta Vauraitė) and other pieces. The concert will be conducted by Leif Karlsson, Artistic Director of the Lithuanian Symphony Wind Orchestra, who is a music inspector in the Swedish Armed Forces and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.
