Although generations of students have changed over the years, the ensemble remains young and original, radiating youthfulness. ŠVIESA" knocks on the hearts of the audience with dance, song, music and, as if with a secret key, unlocks and warms the souls for goodness and beauty.
*** Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius Tech) folk dance ensemble "Vingis" Artistic Director Rimutė Zaleckaitė Choreographer Donatas Šiniauskas Folk music band leader Kęstutis Lipeika Vocal group leader Gabrielė Budrytė "Vingis" is our home. "Vingis" is our friends. "Vingis" is tradition, love and celebrations. "Vingis" is the gift we give most sincerely to our audience. Being together, Lithuanian songs and dances are a source of strength. After all, it is not for nothing that our ancestors had their own songs for all occasions.
*** "Ąžuoliukas" is a choir of boys and young men founded in 1959 by Maestro Herman Perelstein. Today "Ąžuoliukas" is one of the best known names in the Lithuanian music world. It is a unique combination of several choirs - from toddlers to men - and a music school. A fertile environment that has produced dozens of the country's most famous musicians. But at Ąžuoliuks, boys receive much more than just the basics of musical education. Perhaps that is why many of the members of this group do not hesitate to call "Ąžuoliukė" a school of life and a second home. It is a space where a child fully matures for an independent life.
