Falling isthe most terrifying event that can happen on stage for a circus performer, and especially an acrobat. However, in Konstrukt it becomes the central axis of the performance. The performance questions the image of circus artists as superheroes, even on the contrary, it proposes to look at ourselves destructively, as hopeless madmen desperately seeking recognition and catharsis, and sharing this frustration with the world. Resignation, surrender, stubborn effort to the point of exhaustion... or to the realisation that success and failure are merely constructs of the mind.
"Construct" is a play about failure and the struggle against wrong choices. The aerial acrobatic devices used in the performance are unstable, unsafe and unusable, but the characters choose to foolishly attempt to perform and put all their efforts into an already lost battle, but ultimately face the question - how do you accept failure?
