The exhibition "For the Body" invites you to rethink the importance of the body, its uniqueness and fragility. Without exalting the body as a higher value, the authors of the exhibition subtly explore its multiple meanings. The body becomes a space for dialogue with jewellery, through which existential, social, emotional and aesthetic issues are analysed. The works in the exhibition explore the transience of the body, the meaning of the life line as an adornment and the performative opening of the idea of eternity. It explores the interaction between skin and object, the phenomenon of touch and the trace it leaves, revealing the physical and emotional aspect of human existence. There is a constant impression of privacy and isolation in the exhibition, where impulse, rhythm and expression intertwine. The relationship between jewellery and the body - the link between luxury and asceticism, the analysis of the boundaries of comfort and the dichotomy between functionality and aesthetics - is revealed in works that are minimalistic yet conceptually profound. The jewellery object in this exhibition acts as a subtle accent, inviting a dialogue with the body. The body is not a shrine, but a complex space where the physical, emotional and social planes come together. The work of the participants in the exhibition reveals man's relationship to the world and to himself through the interaction between the body and jewellery. The exhibition will be held at the Klaipėda Gallery of the Klaipėda Branch of the LDS (Bažnyčių g. 6) until 21 December.
