French music export and the colorful "La Femme" are coming to Lithuania
It's hard to imagine a more French band than La Femme. They just ooze coolness, are authentic in their own way and full of fantastic melodies. From psychedelic, surf rock, chanson, punk rock, electronica, krautrock and more, this increasingly global band from France tries out all sorts of costumes, all of them looking fantastic and sounding downright chic. Today, La Femme is perhaps the biggest rock band in their native France. A true export and even pride of country music. The music agency "8 Days A Week" is happy that one of the brightest names on the European music scene managed to be lured to Vilnius for the first time.

What's the delay?
This year, La Femme released the critically acclaimed album Paris-Hawaï. The band explores the history and future of music with their eccentric and unconventional sound. The fifth studio album "Paris-Hawaï" is the second part of the "Odyssey Collection". On last year's first album, Teatro Lúcido, the band sent sound postcards from the Spanish-speaking world, and Paris-Hawaï invites you to the sun-drenched islands of the Pacific Ocean. The double album combines meticulous electronic beats with Polynesian accents and, of course, Hawaiian guitar at the forefront.
They have an endless love for music and do not take their achievements for granted. The band's music is described as synthetic and hypnotic. It combines the styles of cold wave, punk and yéyé music, you can hear the influence of artists such as Sparks, The Velvet Underground or even Kraftwerk. The musicians themselves joke that they play "disco slam/country opera style", whatever that means.
La Femme is not afraid to tackle a very wide range of genres. The result is high-quality, diverse and unpredictable. La Femme has a very varied music catalog and a great musical background. The band's albums are a pleasure to listen to from start to finish because they never sound the same. They have so many styles and ideas, and the band's confidence is sometimes even brazen. Whether they play punk rock, disco, chanson, retro electronica, funk, surf, psychedelic or even Hawaiian music, they are always true to themselves and recognizable as "La Femme". We're not saying they're the only ones ever to be so eclectic, but when you think of others, you only remember the best: Frank Zappa, Serge Gainsbourg, Lee Hazlewood, The Kinks, or The Velvet Underground themselves.
The popularity of "La Femme" in the world is growing like yeast. It will be their first stay in the Baltic countries and Lithuania. Live performances of "La Femme" do not leave anyone indifferent with their elegant and colorful mood. After a long and dark winter, we're all in dire need of what Le Femme has to offer today. We promise you will like it or discover something new.
Bathed in a purple mist, women with afros and bangs play trumpets and trombones of shimmering purple gold. A heart-shaped scene emerges from a lavender cloud. A hazy light illuminates rows of go-go shoes and 1970s-style dresses. A lazy guitar creates a psychedelic surf music landscape for a woman in big square sunglasses, ladies in polka dot dresses swaying nearby. A man with a bob haircut wearing brown sunglasses and a black suit appears on stage. This is what one of the psychedelic visions of La Femme looks like.
