Jewish Pole Simon Frank arrived in the small town of Sivorio, Argentina, in 1962. He was the only survivor of a Nazi concentration camp in his family and was deeply affected by it.

A few years after his arrival, he began to build a strange structure on his plot of land - a scenographic reconstruction of the house he had lived in in Poland. Simon didn't build it to live in it. But to symbolise something. A performance.

Simon invited his neighbours to see it.

The performance, in a monologue performed by himself, recounts his life before the war, using the reconstruction of his house in Warsaw as a backdrop.

Everyone who came was moved by this story.

He began to spend more and more time and money on the scenery for his play. They were very realistic and got bigger every time.

The whole plot was filled with scenery reminiscent of Warsaw. It was like a huge film set.

Slowly, at Simon's request, the neighbours started to participate in the play. He assigned the townspeople various roles of people connected with his own past. Simon himself wrote the scenes and the dialogue.

Participation in the play changed the lives of the inhabitants of Sivori. At first it was just an eccentric hobby, but at the creator's direction they began to take it more and more seriously and responsibly. Each of them had an ordinary job, an ordinary life, mostly connected with agricultural production in the area, but during the week of the play, everything changed.

One day in early 2005, the federal police arrested an old Polish man. The truth about his life was very different from what he portrayed.

Walid Mansour, a theatre director living in Europe, became interested in the story in early 2009. In 2020, he travelled to Argentina to create a play.

He managed to invite five Sivorians who played Franco on stage to tell their stories and relive their memories. And also to see how much it has affected their own lives. Valid Mansour himself is also present, reflecting on his research, his trip to Argentina and how something buried in his own past was finally revealed.
