British baroque flute star Piers Adams - long flutes (Great Britain)
David Wright - harpsichord (Great Britain)
Whatever the case may be, this year's Medyne'24 can't do without an extravagantly interpretative twist on classical music. The highlight of the festival is the duo of flute virtuoso Piers Adams and harpsichordist David Wright, who will present the concert programme "Wild (Baroque) Evenings" on 9 November (Saturday) at the Beatričė Kleizaitė-Vasaris Art Gallery in Marijampolė. Virtuosic, mischievous musicians from the UK - members of the legendary quartet Red Priest - will open up the most expressive side of Baroque music to the audience with exceptional works by little-known composers of the 17th century, performed in the "Phantasticus" (!) style. Masterpieces of the Baroque and a glimpse into the 20th century. A wonderful evening with the magic of the recorder and harpsichord!
